connected 1 & 2
"connected" is a new, lesson-guiding teaching resource for Media and IT with a spiral learning approach. With four editions for years 5 through 9, each one building on the content of the last, it develops all the competencies set out by Curriculum 21.
"connected" takes pupils’ everyday experiences with media and digital devices as a basis. Its didactic approach is based on the Dagstuhl triangle model: it takes different objects, phenomena, and situations from our digital age into consideration and analyses them from different perspectives. As a result, the three pillars of Curriculum 21 are interwoven and tackled simultaneously.
"connected" was deliberately designed not to be a fully digital resource. On the one hand, this accommodates the varying levels of IT infrastructure available in schools. On the other, it reflects several basic conceptional considerations.
